The application for the second Passau Summer School for Applied Ethics is now open! Students from all disciplines and universities can apply until 31.3.2025.
This year's PASSAE is entitled “History and Memory: Ethical Dimension” and will deal with the responsible handling of historical memory. The focus will be on profound ethical questions: Is engaging with history a moral duty? What are the duties of anamnestic justice, and what do they entail? How can we do justice to historical injustice? What role do digital technologies play in shaping our engagement with history? Through lectures and discussions with international experts as well as in interdisciplinary working groups, we will explore these questions.
PASSAE 2025 takes place from 4. to 8. August 2025 at the University of Passau. Students from all disciplines and universities can apply until 31.3.2025. International students are particularly welcome.
