In Studio 12, people philosophized together in a discussion group on Immanuel Kant's political thoughts on democracy. Following the successful “Philosophieren im Biergarten” and the panel discussion “Kant heute: Freiheit im 21. Jahrhundert", the student-organized project PASSAUtonomy once again offered philosophy enthusiasts in Passau the opportunity to discuss his work on the occasion of the Kant Year 2024. The famous thinker would have been 300 years old this year.
In addition, the exhibition “Zum Ewigen Frieden? Immanuel Kant und die Zukunft Europas", could also be visited. The exhibition was created as part of this year's Passau Summer School for Applied Ethics (PASSAE) with the theme #Kant: Digitalization - Europe - Sustainablity. The results of the first PASSAE, which took place from 2-6 September 2024 at the Chair of Applied Ethics at the University of Passau, were presented here. All visitors were invited to share their own thoughts on the future of Europe.
