Good to know for the semesters´ beginning

The university uses a number of different platforms and programmes to organise the studies of all students (e.g. registration for courses) and to provide learning content. In order to get to know and use these, ZIM offers you training on the IT services. This includes Stud.IP, student mail (Outlook), Zoom and ILIAS.

These are very important, especially with the prospect of an online semester, and you should urgently take advantage of these offers. You can find all the information on the ZIM website.

Attention, keep an eye on deadlines!

You should always be careful with the placement tests for foreign language courses: They take place before the start of lectures.

• You can take the placement tests for English, French and Italian online as so-called C-tests. How this works is explained in the following video: https://vimeo.com/694476513/06324d6454 .
• In Portuguese and Russian, the placement test is now also conducted online via Zoom.

You can find more information about this on the Language Centre's website under Placement Tests. As soon as the dates are known, they will be displayed on the Language Centre's dates page.

The CampusCard is your student ID and at the same time your semester ticket, i.e. the ticket for travelling to the university by bus, for example. You apply for the CampusCard via Stud.IP.
