Exhibition by the Passau Summer School for Applied Ethics 2024

In 1795, the Königsberg philosopher Immanuel Kant discussed fundamental demands for lasting peace between people and states in his essay ‘On Perpetual Peace’. A vision of a democratic European and global future - but what about these ideas today? Do we still agree and can they help us with political issues of the future?

The exhibition presents the results of the first Passau Summer School for Applied Ethics (PASSAE), which took place from 2 to 6 September 2024 at the professorship of Applied Ethics of the University of Passau, and invites all visitors to share their own thoughts on the future of Europe and the world!

The Passau Summer School for Applied Ethics (PASSAE) is an one-week interdisciplinary and international event for students focussing on current issues in Applied Ethics, organized by the Professorship of Applied Ethics (Prof. Dr. Karoline Reinhardt) at the University of Passau. With its first session in 2024, it will take place annually. It is open to students from all disciplines.
