Cooperation project "Development of an innovative service to visualize hidden wall paintings in historical architecture"
Project plan
The aim of the project is to develop an innovative technological service and an associated workflow. The aim of the service to be developed is the multispectral investigation of layers of painting in historical buildings that are worthy of protection and hidden under layers of whitewash.
Project realization
The ZIM project is being carried out in collaboration with our co-operation partner, theGrassl planning office. The Grassl planning office is responsible for developing the service, while the University of Passau will lay the foundations for a database for results data from multispectral photography (MSI) of historical pigments and whitewash layers by adapting and optimizing the MSI technology.
