Curriculum vitae
I have studied General Linguistics at Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf with a specialisation in foreign languages (Spanish/French) and Semantics/Pragmatics. Following my Master of Arts I completed my PhD on the topic of "Maltese Plurals Phonotactics, Variation and the Structure of the Mental Lexicon“ at HHU from 2015 until 2021 at the Department of Phonetics and Phonology.
As a postdoc at HHU, I worked on the computational modelling of speech production and comprehension with a special focus on the Semitic language Maltese. In an additional collaborative project with the English linguistics department at HHU I did research on the misperception of German song lyrics by German native speakers.
Since July 2023 I am affiliated to the Department of Multilingual Computational Linguistics at University of Passau and will focus on my Habilitation project that concerns the computational modelling of language contact and language comprehension.
