Students who would like to write a Bachelor's thesis at our chait are encouraged to take part in the course: "Wissenschaftstheorie und interkulturelles Forschungsdesign für Bachelor-Studierende" (Philosophy of Science and Intercultural Research Design for Bachelor's Students). This course provides students with a basic overview over the structure of a bachelor's thesis, the writing process, as well as the methods that come into question.

For students who would like to write a thesis at the Chair of Intercultural Communication, a a one-week academic course is offered every semster ("wissenschaftliche Übung"), which familiarises students with the various methods of academic work (interviewing, (participant) observation, literature analysis, etc.) and is aimed at students who would like to start writing their thesis soon. It gives an insight into different methods and students are given the opportunity to test them.
